PERTAINING TO DIESEL ENGINES OPERATING IN FIERY MINES
Monitors engine oil pressure, engine temperature and other safety parameters continuously during every work cycle
Uses filtered oil from the engine to manage the individual sensors and valves
Will bring engine to rest in the quickest time possible, ensuring optimum safety should an abnormal condition occur within the engine or exhaust system.
Unique metal temperature sensing valve constantly monitors cylinder head temperature, promptly reacting to excess engine heat with or without coolant
Thermal valve located in the exhaust gas stream has been engineered to function using engine oil as the operating medium. Improved flow ensures a rapid response to high exhaust gas temperatures, safely bringing the engine to rest.
Constantly monitors engine oil pressure during every work cycle, reacting timeously should the oil pressure drop below the manufacturer’s minimum specification
Engine shutdown cylinder rapidly reacts to any abnormal unsafe condition within the engine or exhaust system. Depending on the configuration of the fuel injection pump, wherever possible the shutdown cylinder will become an integral component of the injector pump, hampering attempted tampering of the system.
lubriVENT fuel valve incorporated within the system becomes a back up to the injector pump mounted shut down cylinder. In the unlikely situation that the shut down cylinder is rendered inoperative, the lubriVENT fuel valve will react to an abnormal operating condition, safely bringing the engine to rest
The fuel valve is encased in a strong locked steel enclosure. Keys for this enclosure should be retained by an authorised person, further hampering any attempts to tamper with the system.
The accumulator is automatically charged with engine oil during every work cycle in readiness for the next engine start up.
Start button releases stored oil from the accumulator to pre-charge the system, positioning all activators in the RUN position, ensuring a prompt engine start up.
Stop button serves two functions:
– Safely shuts the engine down leaving the system in readiness for the next engine re-start
– It automatically tests the functionality of the system at every engine shut down. This continuous repeated function test ensures that the system remains in good order and will be able to react to an unsafe condition by bringing the engine to rest, ensuring safety for all personnel.
